The climate in the forest of the Alto Mayo
The Alto Mayo is about 850 m Selva eyebrow, so the climate is tropical. In the highest areas where the Alto Mayo Protected Forest, temperatures can range between 12°C and 25°C in the lower parts and less vejetación, temperatures range between 15°C and 28°C. Because of this privileged climate, this beautiful valley has hundreds of species of orchids and bromeliads, which bloom in forests with high humidity due to fog.
There are two rainy seasons, the first between September and December, and the second between February and April, in these times temperatures may drop a little and increase river flow. However, the rains are usually short-lived and with sunshine several hours a day, so it is not an impediment to tourism.
